How links.et compares
Three real alternatives, each with the honest case for it first and a plain statement of who should pick it instead.
Checking payments by hand, or with an API
Opening every receipt link yourself is free and works. Where it stops working, and what the alternative actually costs.
A payment gateway, or receipt verification
A gateway collects the money. Verification confirms money that already moved. They solve different problems, and most Ethiopian sellers need the second one.
Building receipt verification yourself
Fetching and parsing one bank’s receipts is an afternoon. Here is what the other sixteen cost, and when building it anyway is still right.
Why there is no page per competitor here
Several other services verify Ethiopian payments, and some of them are good. Writing a page about each one means describing somebody else’s product from the outside, which is out of date the week they ship something and reads as an attack whether or not it is fair.
The decision most people are actually making is not which service, it is whether to use one at all. That is what these three pages are about. If you are comparing specific services, the things worth checking are which providers each one covers, whether failed lookups are charged, and whether there is a public status page you can read during an outage. Ours are on the verify, pricing and status pages.
